Taking Care of Congregations

Whether providing a well-deserved vacation for your pastor, or dealing with an empty pulpit for the foreseeable future, there are ministers and lay worship leaders willing to step in and care for congregations.

PULPIT SUPPLY RATES - 2024

The minimum financial payment for pulpit supplies is as follows:

• $150 for one Sunday service with

  • $50 added for each additional service on Sunday morning;

  • $75 additional same-weekend services on Saturday evening or Sunday evening.

• $150 for Special services, including Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, midweek services, etc.

  • $50 additional special service (i.e. Christmas Eve)

  • $75 for additional special services at a non-regular Sunday or non-Sunday worship time (Sunrise & 11:00, etc.).

• PLUS the 2024 IRS allowance of 67 cents per mile for each round trip to the congregation(s) to supply.
